Privacy

Atmosphere is a page with a clock and some sound files. It does not want to know who you are.

What is stored

Your volume, chosen sounds, clock style, theme and saved mixes are kept in your browser's localStorage under the key norlay-atmosphere:v1. That data never leaves the device and is not sent to Norlay or anyone else. Clearing site data removes it.

What is not collected

There is no account, no sign-in, no cookie, no analytics service, no advertising pixel and no third-party script. The page does not fingerprint the browser or ask for a location.

Network requests

The page requests its own HTML, styles, scripts, icon and audio files. Audio is served from the same origin as the page. Norlay's hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes ordinary request logs (IP address, user agent, requested path, time) to deliver and protect the site. Those logs are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Sound and the browser

Audio only starts after you press Play, as browser policy requires. The page uses the Web Audio API to decode and loop the recordings. Nothing is recorded from your microphone; the page never asks for microphone permission.

Children

Atmosphere is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children.
